Mobi-C Cervical Disc Replacement

Traditionally, patients indicated for surgery due to degenerated cervical discs would have received an anterior cervical discectomy and fusion. Fusion is designed to stop motion at the operative level, which has been shown to accelerate degeneration of adjacent spinal levels post-surgery.

The Mobi-C® Artificial Cervical Disc replacement is a new treatment designed to alleviate pain and maintain motion.

Culicchia Neurological Clinic Neurosurgeons John Steck and have used the Mobi-C to relieve patients of pain and discomfort.   In the video below, Dr. Owen describes how a patient suffering from radiculopathy emanating from a pinched nerve was relieved by the Mobi – C artificial cervical disc, which allows for a faster recovery time than disc fusion surgery.
