Dr. Montgomery began her career in Audiology working at Kennedy Krieger Institute and Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

She returned to New Orleans in 1995 where she worked for LSUHSC and Kresge Hearing Research labs. In 2005, after Hurricane Katrina, she was able to help construct multiple clinical sites with limited resources in order to be able to continue to serve the hearing impaired public during the difficult recovery time. All during her career, she has educated new Audiologists, Audiology students and Otolaryngology Residents.

In 2007, she assisted in opening a comprehensive Hearing and Balance Center in Baton Rouge with neurotologist, Dr. Moises Arriaga. There the services included: Full Diagnostic Audiologic and Balance Assessments. She assisted in the development and was involved in the Telemedicine Service as well.

In 2005, after Hurricane Katrina, Dr. Montgomery was able to help construct multiple clinical sites with limited resources in order to be able to continue to serve the hearing impaired public during the difficult recovery time.

In 2012, Dr. Montgomery again assisted in opening another comprehensive Hearing and Balance Center in Marrero with Dr. Arriaga. This center is a branch of Culicchia Neurological Clinic known as CNC Hearing and Balance Center. Services include: Full Diagnostic Audiologic and Balance Assessments. Here, Dr. Montgomery also serves hearing aid patients by fitting patients with the latest technology and repairing their hearing aids. She ensures accurate and appropriate fittings by routinely completing fitting verification measures with Real Ear measurements and Functional gain assessments.
